Challenges
Solution
Solution Provided
- Our development team crafted a solution of telemedicine mobile apps and an admin panel for user and medicine management for the healthcare client.
- The telemedicine mobile app had features for Patients, Doctors, Medicines booking, Insurance consultation, Ambulance booking, In-house lab tests & healthcare staff, and much more.
- Two separate apps for doctors and patients.
- One Web App to monitor the process, bring in database connectivity, and act as a super admin, allowing the healthcare client to add or remove the users, doctors, and vendors depending upon the received feedback.
Strategies Implemented
- Our developer experts used the agile development method to develop the mobile apps and web portal.
- The apps were built on a cross-platform development model (telehealth app for Android and iOS platforms), allowing cost savings as well as quicker time-to-market.
- Modular architecture was used so that the teleconsultation app can be scalable in the future as well.
- The strategies that were used during the development process divided the telemedicine app’s features into Must Have, Should Have, Could Have and Will not Have segmentations.
- This helped in ensuring that the teleconsultation app had all the features and functionalities to make it future-ready.
Technologies Used
- Flutter was used for Mobile apps and Web App development.
- AWS was used for Cloud support.
- SQLite was used for Database support.
Development and Implementation
Process
- Our Project manager, business analyst, and the sales team went on a discovery call with the healthcare client.
- After understanding their requirements, our business analyst and project manager did market research & identified their key audience (elderlies, mothers, and smaller healthcare providers).
- The idea of a mobile telehealth app was validated against apps like Practo to ensure that the app does have scope in Delhi NCR.
- The project manager presented the idea of two telemedicine apps and a web portal to the healthcare services client.
- After approval, the development began in sprints and milestones.
- The UI/UX designing as well as prototyping were done keeping in mind that the telemedicine app will have ease of accessibility and navigation, along with a chatbot.
- After the approval of the prototype, the development began and happened without any major issues.
- The API used in the apps were fully secured to prevent any data theft, be it personal info, financial info, or health records.
- Holistic testing was carried out using automated testing and some beta testers that Wildnet provided.
- The final deployment of the apps and website happened, sans any problems.
- Wildnet further monitored the telemedicine app and web portal for a month after deployment to prevent any post-launch hassles.
