SpaceX’s Starship exploded after Takeoff

Sometimes even SpaceX has to face the wrong end of the sword, and it happened this week, when their Starship exploded just after taking off from their company launch site in Boca Chica, Texas, USA.

It started spinning uncontrollably and then broke off into flying debris falling over south of Florida and the Bahamas.

Four Florida airports, including the Miami International Airport’s operation, had to be halted for safety.

In the Indus Valley region of the Attock district in Punjab, a massive Rs. 80,000 crore gold reserve has been found during a state-sponsored survey.

Turing Award winners warn about AI’s unsafe deployment

Mr. Andrew Barto (University of Massachusetts) and Mr. Richard Sutton (former Google DeepMind research scientist) are the winners of the 2024 Turing Award for creating fundamental AI training techniques, or the Association for Computing Machinery has raised their voices.

According to them, AI companies are leaving out the proper testing needed so that they can launch their AIs in the market faster.

FYI, Turing Awards are known as the Nobel Prize of Computing.

The Indian government has launched the AI Compute Portal in New Delhi with key facts like,

• 18,693 GPUs for shared computing

• Access to high-powered computing for AI applications

• 27 AI data labs (in pipeline)

• Rs. 10,300 crore cash backing (for five years)

• 9 times more computing power than DeepSeek

• 2/3rd computing power of ChatGPT

Alibaba launches its AI, QwQ-32B, to counter DeepSeek

It’s been a while since we heard any news from Alibaba, and they are here with a banger.

It’s called QwQ-32B and is their AI model, which can beat both DeepSeek and OpenAI.

As per Alibaba, QwQ-32B can

Reddit launches New Tools to boost User Engagement

Reddit wants to boost its user engagement ratios after a slump brought by a change in Google’s algorithm, and that’s why it launched new tools.

• Rules Check feature on smartphones will allow users to comply with the rules of each subreddit.

• Post recovery tool will help users to post their content on another subreddit if their original post is removed due to rule violations in the first subreddit.

• Improved post insights will now be provided to check a post’s performance.

What this means is that two ads from one advertiser were featured for a single search result.
