India registered its latest edition of the Navratna PSUs, i.e., Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, which is a defense sector industry! They build submarines, naval ships, cargo vessels, barges, and more.
Their shares have been rallying after this inculcation by the Finance Ministry of India. Navratnas can,
- Invest up to INR 1000 crore or
- 15–30% of the net worth
- Without approval from the government (which has 84.8% of its shares).
They had total orders worth INR 38,561 crore, making the annual return on investment, or ROI, surge to 250%+. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders shares have improved 300% in the past 12 months.

Google divulged its Search Quality measurement tactics
Google has opened up to the public and shared the secret behind their tactics and metrics used for measuring search quality! They are using,
- Surveys and
- User & expert behaviour to study and quantify the same.
This is important as the search queries now-a-day have become quite complex. This information was released by Google’s Search director, Elizabeth Tucker, on the latest edition of Google’s ‘Search Off The Record’ podcast.
They measure both the long-term and short-term relevance and intent of the search queries. But Elizabeth highlighted that not everything can be measured, and everything that is measured is not worthwhile!
They do this so that Google stays relevant in the ever-changing digital world!

An Indian, without a college degree, sold an app for INR 416 crore
This news debunks the fact that to become big or worthwhile, you have to study and complete college. Kishan Bagaria, who hails from Dibrugarh, Assam, is a living example of the same.
He just had his curiosity and internet and he made an app called “texts.com,” which made a world tech giant like WordPress knock on his door. He bagged a deal worth INR 461 crore, or USD 4.61 billion.
He learned how to code online and started creating apps for Windows when he was just 12 years old! His latest app, “texts.com,” brings the possibility of combining all messaging platforms like Telegram, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and more in one place.
He has been titled “Generational Tech Genius” by the founder of Automattic, Matt Mullenweg.

5 WordPress plugins that are compromised
Did you know hackers are now targeting WordPress plugins and infecting the source code by updating them with malicious codes?
Wordfence and WordPress have issued warnings as it is leading to widespread infections. These plugins would generate admin accounts (rouge), connect with servers, and add SEO spam links to the linked websites in the footer.
The affected plugins are:

Affected Versions -> 4.4.6.4 to 4.4.7.1
Patched version -> 4.4.7.3
- Blaze Widget (H3)
Affected Versions -> 2.2.5 to 2.5.2
Patched version -> None
- Wrapper Link Element (H3)
Affected Versions -> 1.0.2 to 1.0.3
Patched version -> remove or downgrade to 1.0.0
- Contact Form 7 Multi-Step Addon (H3)
Affected Versions -> 1.0.4 to 1.0.5
Patched version -> None
- Simply show Hooks (H3)
Affected Versions -> 1.2.1
Patched version -> None
WordPress has shut these plugins down for the time being. And floated a message of temporary closure until a full review is conducted.

Air India Express launches tickets as low as INR 883
Air India Express wishes to cash in on bumper sales by offering tickets as low as INR 883 or USD 10.59 under their “Splash Sale.” But there is a little but in here, as the offer is valid for today only, i.e., June 28, 2024, and the ticket can be bought for journeys between July 1st, 2024, and September 30th, 2024.
Plus, there is another discount of INR 350 or waiver of the convenience fee if using Xpress Lite on the Air India Express website. It is a first-come, first-served offer and does not allow refunds!
But still, cheap travels ahead!

Indian AI contender Invideo AI’s USD 30 million revenue run
Many would be wondering what India is doing in the AI domain. Well, the answer is Invideo AI. It is a text to video generation Gen AI which was supposed to be an enterprise solution.
But instead, it is benefiting all with its 10-minute video feature and thus garnering 60k daily signups! Due to this, the company reported an annual revenue of USD 30 million in FY24. It is one of the greatest AI tools, as everyone loves watching videos!
But creating even a 1-minute video takes a day or more, depending on the quality. Lastly, they were founded in 2017 and have received funding of USD 52.5 million till now.
